In the Japanese culture, the “ki” represents the energy found in every element. It is the inspiration for the challenging formal research that Mario Bellini solved with refined and modern taste. The result is a sinuous, lightweight seat, partly due to its polyurethane foam inside. The back, embellished with an embossed decoration reminiscent of the diamond pattern of stitched fabric upholstery, is the formal feature for a chair that combines simplicity, elegance and ergonomics.
Stackable chair with structural parts made from solid beech, veneered and/or stained and/or lacquered. Internal support made from injected polyurethane. Transparent PVC feet. Weight: 3.7 Kg / 8.15 lb. The open pore finish allows you to appreciate the sight and feel of the natural characteristics of the wood, like its veins, colouring and nodes and, of course, its pores. The embossed lacquering is made with special coatings containing mineral powders, usually quartz, that create a finish of a certain degree of roughness depending on the type, thickness and density of the powders that it contains. Embossed lacquering, by virtue of its thickness, is particularly shock and wear resistant as well as scratch resistant.
FINISH
Open pore white finish, open pore black finish, blackwhite (the front of the chair is blackwhite veneered, the back is black varnished), walnut, embossed white lacquered, embossed black lacquered
